Some prospective residents of the University of Michigan’s newest residence hall, Wolverine Village, may find themselves temporarily living elsewhere on campus, pending uncertain construction schedules. Announced in 2022 to address the growing student population and stagnant housing supply, Wolverine Village is the University’s first major housing project in over a decade. The Village was slated to finish construction by the end of summer to allow its inaugural class of students to move in before the fall 2026 semester. Should it occur, the temporary relocation would not impact residents living in the other four buildings at Wolverine Village. As a final decision has not yet been made by Michigan Housing, prospective building four residents are encouraged to regularly check their emails for future updates from the University.
