Two police officers were rushed to hospital after their unmarked car collided with an HGV in North Yorkshire. The officers were driving an unmarked Peugeot 308 on the A64 between York and Malton when the collision occurred at 12.14pm on August 7. Fortunately, the driver of the HGV was uninjured but the two officers, responding to an 'operational matter', suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital. In April, two Met Police officers were charged after a pregnant woman and her baby were killed in a collision with an unmarked car.
