Now, newly released video featuring in the popular BBC crime documentary Murder 24/7 shows Jonathan laughing while being questioned by West Mercia Police. Video and photo evidence captured by Jonathan on his phone showed Mr Gawler gravely injured as the killer tortured and directed homophobic abuse at him. In another, he showed no mercy even as Mr Gawler pleaded for his mother, telling him: 'Don't give me that broken face b******.' Mr Gawler was also described as a quiet and generous man who went to church and attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
