BUS services across Scotland are being given extra support as rising fuel costs put pressure on operators. The Scottish Government has announced an additional £2.7m for bus operators, extending support first introduced in April. He said: “The services provided by bus operators and community transport operators are absolutely critical to keeping Scotland moving and allowing people to access essential goods and services.” An initial package worth up to £3.5m was introduced in April, particularly supporting smaller and community transport operators. The additional funding brings total Scottish Government support for bus operators since April to £6.2m.
