Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis said Sunday they had attacked a Saudi Aramco refinery in Jazan, two days after Saudi Arabia signed a defense pact with Türkiye and Pakistan amid rising regional tensions, according to Reuters. The Houthis have previously attacked Aramco facilities in Jazan and the Red Sea port city of Yanbu. Last month, they announced a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia, accusing Riyadh of imposing a siege on Houthi-controlled areas, a claim Saudi Arabia denies. Three Yemeni government sources told Reuters that air defenses were engaging drones launched toward commercial port facilities and storage areas. Saudi Arabia signed a defense agreement with Türkiye and Pakistan on Friday.
