Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has that he won’t interfere in state’s governance if the Allied People’s Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Mr Bimbo Adekanmbi, wins the 2027 election. Makinde said this on Monday in Ibadan while hosting members of the Muslim community during a Hijrah 1448 luncheon at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Agodi, Ibadan. Makinde urged citizens, especially the Muslim community, to judge political aspirants based on competence, character, and commitment to public service rather than ethnicity, religion, or other sectional interests. Responding to critism from some of his political opponents, Makinde, warned them to focus on real issues rather than making him the centre of their campaigns. He equally appreciated the Muslim community for its support in ensuring peace and stability in the state.
