The Burton School Board will gather on Monday for its last meeting before the new school year begins. The board will consider the proposed tax rate to be published and will set the public meeting date to discuss the rate and the proposed budget. The board will also take up an annual item designating Washington County extension agents as adjunct staff members. Additionally, trustees will hear a bond construction update and review the student, staff, organizational and student activity handbooks. The board will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the Burton ISD Cafeteria.
