The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is refusing to inform the Senate about which measures in the 2026-27 federal budget were subject to gender impact assessments.
Greens leader Larissa Waters asked the department for details of policies that had undergone gender impact analysis.
Senator Waters was particularly interested in newer measures addressing taxation, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and defence spending.
Waters was seeking a disaggregated account of gender impact analysis rather than high-level statements endorsing it as a principle.
