PENDER COUNTY — Pender County Commissioner Brent Springer will represent the county as part of multiple committees from the National Association of Counties for the 2026-27 term.
Springer, serving his second term as a commissioner, will become a member of the Midsize County Caucus, the Veterans and Military Services Advisory Council, and the Transportation Policy Steering Committee’s Transit/Rail Subcommittee.
Springer will give Pender County a stronger voice in national discussions on local issues affecting governments and residents, and on policies and priorities affecting counties across the country.
“Commissioner Springer’s appointments reflect the importance of having Pender County represented in conversations that shape policies affecting counties nationwide,” Pender County Manager Colby W. Sawyer said in a release.
“Each member of our Board contributes through service, advocacy and engagement at the local, state and national levels.
