A traffic signal went live Wednesday at Furys Ferry Road and Blackstone Camp Road in Evans, Georgia. Kelly McDaniel, project engineer, said the signal fixes a safety concern at this spot. "No longer do they have to start out there in the middle of the traffic," McDaniel said, per WRDW. This new light is one piece of a bigger construction project along Furys Ferry Road, which stretches from Evans to Lock Road up to the Savannah River. The four-lane expansion will extend connectivity from the city limits through to Lock Road.
