Yes, forget Peter Pan, Little Mermaid and Baby Herman – here’s St Peter Port, Little Sark and Herm. We were staying at the Cobo Bay Hotel, a stunning beach-facing hotel in the Castel parish of the island. I have stayed in four-star and even five-star hotels that have been much, much less impressive than the Cobo Bay Hotel. Speaking of pathways, a visit to Little Sark is essential, but, boy oh boy, you sure need a head for heights if you’re going to cross the narrow ridge – named La Coupée – that connects Sark with Little Sark. Three islands – Guernsey, Herm and Sark – each completely different to the others.
