On July 31, Elk Valley RCMP frontline officers, BC Highway Patrol officers, and the BC Conservation Service worked together to conduct a large-scale check stop in Baynes Lake. During the two-and-a-half-hour check stop over 400 vehicles were checked for driver’s licences, proof of insurance, as well as driver sobriety. One driver was also ticketed by the BC Conservation Service for failing to stop at the mandatory boat check with the driver having been located during the check stop. On July 7, Elk Valley RCMP conducted boat patrols on Lake Koocanusa. Elk Valley RCMP photoElk Valley RCMPPlease enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus.
