Sinclair, Wyoming, where the refinery that is the main business in town is larger than the town, and it has always been that way. A historic Carbon County company town located six miles east of Rawlins along Interstate 80. Sinclair has a Sinclair gas station and truck stop along the interstate, which is in sight of the refinery. It was renamed Sinclair in 1943 after the Sinclair Consolidated Oil Corporation acquired the assets. It is a company town.
