–– Dozens of Casper firefighters gathered around a large, gleaming red machine to give it a push into its new home inside Fire Station 5’s bay.
The push was followed by a wipe-down, leaving the gleaming new vehicle ready for its mission in Casper.
The new Engine 5 will be used as a “frontline apparatus,” with the older unit serving as backup.
“Purchasing the new Engine 1 and Engine 5 saved the city and taxpayers about a million dollars by doing the stock build,” he said.
