An hour later, at 4:44 p.m., Fremont County Emergency Management announced it was prepared to evacuate residents downwind of the fire to the east.
At this time, no homes or garages have been lost,” Fremont County Emergency Management said.
“It is anticipated that fire retardant will be deployed all day,” Fremont County Emergency Management said.
If estimates are correct, the Weiser Knoll Fire, in less than one full day of existence, has become the largest fire in Wyoming this year.
