The New York Yankees may have made some moves ahead of the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline, but they did not address their biggest roster need.
With the Yankees not bringing in a new catcher ahead of the trade deadline, there is no question that they should be looking to add one during this upcoming offseason.
In a recent article for FanSided, Christopher Kline predicted that the Yankees will be the team that signs Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers in free agency this upcoming offseason.
“The Yankees were heavily connected to Ryan Jeffers at the trade deadline, but the Twins opted not to sell,” Kline wrote.
Ultimately, with the Yankees needing some real help at catcher, they should not be afraid to go all-in for Jeffers this offseason if he tests free agency.
