"No such word as can't" - it was wise words like these from his father that Terry Nolan shared with about 700 people at the annual Malcolm McCosker Memorial address hosted by the Rural Press Club of Queensland at the Ekka on August 7. Terry, the co-creator of Nolan's Meats, completely captivated his audience with his down-to-earth speech championing the importance of building relationships, in work and in life. He was also quizzed on his thoughts on the future of lotfeeding, which he said was here to stay, but perhaps not in the format currently being promoted, given the ongoing need for staff. View + 21 PhotosAsked what he saw for the future generally, Terry pointed to the education system and a tendency to a point of view that didn't favour the agricultural industry. The Ekka has special significance this year, being the 150th anniversary of the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland, the organisation that has been running the Ekka since 1876.
