Coach Abby Moyer has been tasked with turning around a Lady Wildcat volleyball program that went 5-15 last season, winning one district match in six tries. The first-year varsity coach will get a look at the ’Cats in action when they host the Lordsburg High Lady Mavericks at 5 p.m. today in a preseason scrimmage. The action begins at 5 p.m. on Frank Dooley Court on the campus of Deming High School. Although a Class 2A program, Lordsburg is expected to bring a stiff challenge for the rebuilding Lady ’Cats. A varsity roster has yet to be released, and Coach Moyer is expected to gain more clarity following the scrimmage match.
