The new Care Help Food Pantry opened its doors in June, expanding the organization’s ability to serve individuals and families facing food insecurity by providing greater storage capacity, improved accessibility and a more efficient distribution process. “When we heard about the new Food Pantry and their goals to serve more families, we felt compelled to get involved,” says Dub Henning. “My family is from Sulphur and my parents were active supporters of Care Help since it was founded over 40 years ago. The food pantry is located behind the Care Help Thrift Store at 200 N. Huntington St. in Sulphur. Those wishing to support the pantry through food donations or volunteer service are also welcome to reach out.
