Moss Lake Partners notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that it is abandoning the 690-mile interstate route from West Texas to Moss Bluff, removing the cross-border pipeline through Calcasieu Parish.
The company stated the project is better suited as a strictly intrastate pipeline running solely within Texas.
The original plan for DeLa Express pipeline was tp transport “wet” natural gas produced in the Permian Basin of Texas to markets along the Louisiana Gulf Coast.
The 42-inch diameter pipeline would have originated in Loving County, Texas, and ended near Moss Bluf.
Moss Lake Partners said their plans have shifted to transport dry gas instead of wet gas liquids linked to the plastics industry.
