Ukrainian forces targeted a Russian oil refinery in Tatarstan as a blackout took place in occupied Simferopol and fires broke out in Donetsk Oblast amid overnight attacks on Aug. 10, monitoring channels reported. Eyewitnesses posted footage of drones flying over the Russian city of Nizhnekamsk in the Republic of Tatarstan as an oil refinery was targeted by Ukrainian forces, according to Telegram channel Supernova Plus. Early on Aug. 8, Ukraine struck an oil refinery in Samara Oblast and another in southern Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, monitoring channels reported. Another oil refinery in the town of Ilsky, Krasnodar Krai, was struck and set ablaze amid a Ukrainian attack, Supernova Plus reported. Ukraine’s General Staff later confirmed that long-range Ukrainian drones hit two oil refineries in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai and Samara Oblast.
