Sedric Lawrence was recently installed as the new pastor at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He is starting his leadership role with a revival at the church from Aug. 12-14, with services beginning at 7 p.m. daily. On Wednesday, Pastor Edward Wheeler will be the featured guest speaker, followed by Pastor Illiad Kelly on Thursday and Pastor Walter Weathersby on Friday. Lawrence, a lifelong member of Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, said he has been visiting Spring Hill since he was a child. Lawrence recalled the many weekends he spent with his grandmother, and the fact that she didn't let her grandchildren miss Sunday church.
