Porter’s Chapel Academy was a big winner at the St. Aloysius softball jamboree on Saturday. PCA won both of its games in the 14-team event, beating the Magnolia Wildcats 13-2 and Carroll Academy 5-2 to snap a five-game season-opening losing streak. Kiley Poole was 3-for-3 with an RBI triple and three runs scored. Carroll Academy pitchers Mabrie Neese and Layla Neese combined to hit three batters and walk four to force in four of the five runs. Manchester 8, St. Al 2Madison-St. Joe 14, St. Al 2Molly McBride was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Morgan Foster scored three runs as Manchester Academy spoiled the party at St. Aloysius’ tournament at Halls Ferry Park.
