A celebration of Ms. Nelson’s life took place Monday, July 27, 2026 at St. Stephen A.M.E. Church, 501 Red Cross St., Wilmington, NC 28401. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Her love and memories will remain in the heart of her daughter, Angela D. Nelson of Raleigh, NC; brother, Bobby Lee Pompey of Merrillville, IN and a host of other relatives and friends.
