Qatar’s Amir and Oman’s Sultan held talks in Doha aimed at strengthening longstanding ties and expanding cooperation between the two Gulf countries.
Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq in Doha on Sunday, with the two leaders discussing ways to strengthen longstanding ties and expand cooperation between the two Gulf countries.
Strengthening historic tiesAccording to the official readout published by the Amiri Diwan, the morning session began with Sheikh Tamim welcoming Sultan Haitham and his accompanying delegation, wishing the Sultan well-being and praising the solid relations that unite Qatar and Oman.
In response, Sultan Haitham expressed his deep appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality in Doha.
Also in attendance for Qatar were Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of Transport Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.
