Even in the heady days of 2024, when it was just getting started, Deadlock felt brilliant and fresh. Much as the Dota 2 team has shown willingness to toss out entire new systems that didn't quite land, so it is with Deadlock. Valve writes that "Deadlock is in early development with lots of temporary art and experimental gameplay."
