The San Francisco Bay Area is preparing for the return of AIA SWADES 2026 on Saturday, August 15. AIA SWADES 2026 will commemorate the US’s 250th and India’s 80th Independence Day with a spectacular day of culture, unity, and celebration in the heart of Downtown San Jose at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. According to the press release, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and the Consul General of India in San Francisco, Dr. Srikar Reddy, will attend as Chief Guests. Multinational Parade and Day-and-Night MelaHosted in the heart of San Jose, the free event offers family-friendly programming throughout the afternoon and evening. Organizers noted that AIA SWADES has evolved into a central gathering point for Indian Americans across generations, offering a shared space to celebrate heritage, art, music, and community spirit.
