ROCKWELL — A fan of mythology, Jobe Arney of Rockwell has completed his first fantasy novel, which is available for those wishing to begin their journey reading in what he hopes will be a series of books. Arney said he is already working on a second book and has plans for a series of six or seven. He will have another book signing on Sept. 5 from noon to 2 p.m. at Pig City Books in Lexington. While there, he said he got a lot of inspiration from the environment and culture and during his trip is where he wrote his book. Arney said that he would encourage others who are beginning their writing journey to make sure of the Reedsy program, which he used as a resource in the process, and for them to visit author meet-ups at local bookstores, which he also found helpful.
