In 2025, Indiana began the season ranked 17th in the pre-season Power Rankings, but steadily moved up, finishing the season as National Champions. The Mountain West also adds UTEP, but loses five teams, as Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, and Utah State all head to the Pac-12. They will be joined by Texas State in the Pac-12 from the Sun Belt. On defense, Leonard Moore and Christian Gray lead a solid defense. James Madison made the playoffs last year and was a solid team.
