Gianni Infantino has called an emergency meeting of FIFA staff in Rabat on Wednesday as pressure on the president mounts. According to the Press Association via ESPN, the meeting was called after the weekend and is to include secretary general Mattias Grafstrom and the FIFA management board. The most controversial proposal was the plan to sell a 20% stake in FFE to private investors. UEFA even threatened to boycott FIFA until the plan was scrapped. The European football's governing body said it had lost confidence in Infantino and have formally withdrawn its support for him.
