AIB Issues Stark Warning To Customers Following 59% Increase In Payment Fraud Cases

AIB have warned customers, following reports of a 59% increase in payment fraud cases in July.
Customers have been told to be aware of any text messages claiming to be from a bank or trusted organisation.
The will try to create a sense of urgency, convincing the person to act quickly and share security codes or send funds to a private bank account.
AIB have said that fraudsters will persuade customers to withdraw money before arranging a collection point.
