As I read Shirlene Ostrov’s commentary, I wondered if Hawaii would have been welcomed at the Great American State Fair under the Freedom 250 committee (“Hawaii should have been there at Great American State Fair,” Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, July 2). Educating people would reveal the truth, but would the current administration acknowledge this history or attempt to erase it?
