Two Maui men were charged with murder after a 71-year-old man died Friday from injuries he suffered when he was beaten and kicked during an attack in Kahului, according to the Maui Police Department. The male victim sprayed pepper spray at the three people before leaving the area, police said. According to police, the male victim was struck multiple times in the head, causing him to fall to the ground, and was kicked while he was down. The woman suffered minor injuries. The two male suspects were subsequently charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
