They were first called at 2.38pm, with crews from Hillingdon, Heathrow, Southall and surrounding fire stations sent to the scene. Crews had the incident under control by 3.56pm. The speedy response was acknowledged by John McDonnell MP, who told followers on X: "We've had fires at Lake Farm in the past, but the heatwave has increased risk."
