Hyderabad: Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy strongly criticised BRS Working President KT Rama Rao, alleging that the opposition party has no moral authority to speak on Krishna river waters or the Palamuru Rangareddy project. Responding to remarks about launching a political movement over water issues, Chamala stated that the people of Telangana had already politically consigned BRS to a watery grave. He questioned whether BRS leaders had attended the Godavari River Management Board meeting convened by the neighbouring state government and opposed proposals affecting Telangana rights. Chamala recalled former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao visiting Rayalaseema and meeting leaders from Andhra Pradesh, alleging that he invited former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to Praja Bhavan, hosted him for a meal, and acknowledged surplus Godavari water availability. The Congress MP accused BRS of creating political sentiment through malicious propaganda regarding an alleged understanding between the Congress government, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
