Bhimavaram: The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund is providing major financial support to poor families in securing better medical treatment, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma said. The Union Minister distributed financial assistance cheques worth around Rs 22 lakh to 13 beneficiaries who had applied for aid from the CMRF for treatment of various serious ailments. Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasa Varma said the NDA government believed that nothing was more valuable than people’s lives. The government was providing immediate financial assistance through the CMRF so that no poor family would be forced to stay away from medical treatment due to financial difficulties, he said. BJP West Godavari district general secretary Kalidindi Vinod Varma and party leaders Subhash Raju, Shaik Mohuddin and Govardhan were among those present.
