Vijayawada: Inspector General–Principal Chief Security Commissioner (IG-PCSC), South Coast Railway, Anjani Kumar Sinha on Sunday conducted a comprehensive review of security, passenger safety and crime prevention measures in Vijayawada Division. He also conducted ‘Suraksha Sammelan’ with RPF personnel, interacting with them directly on workplace concerns and welfare measures. Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Vijayawada Division, Shanmukh Shanmugha Vadivel S, briefed the IG-PCSC on the major operational achievements of the RPF under various security and passenger assistance initiatives. Under Operation Amanat, RPF personnel recovered 355 items of passengers’ missing or left-behind luggage valued at Rs 1.45 crore and restored them to their rightful owners. The Vijayawada Division RPF reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the security apparatus through proactive crime prevention, effective enforcement, passenger assistance and coordinated action with law-enforcement and welfare agencies.
