Anantapur Stating that the State government is committed to the comprehensive development of Adivasis, District Collector O Anand called upon tribal communities to make optimal use of welfare schemes and ensure quality education for their children.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the World Tribal Day celebrations organized by the District Tribal Welfare Department at Tribal Bhavan here on Sunday.
Tracing the history of the event to the 1994 UN resolution, the Collector emphasized that protecting human rights, health, education, and cultural identity remains paramount.
Furthermore, he assured that tribal grievances submitted during weekly Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) meetings are being resolved on priority.
State Tribal Advisory Council Member Sabhavath Somla Naik, community leaders, residential school students, and departmental officials participated in the event.
