A local group of Eagle County pickleball players is exploring the feasibility of developing a dedicated, year-round indoor pickleball facility in EagleVail. The group envisions the facility — which would be called The Vail Valley Pickleball Center — being run by a community-based nonprofit. “We envision offering memberships as well as having the facility open to the general public, including visitors to the Valley,” the letter to Eagle County players stated. The presentation stated a goal of construction beginning sometime in 2027 with a completion the following year. According to the EagleVail Metro District meeting minutes, an update on the pickleball facility project’s progress will be added to the Aug. 20 board meeting minutes.
