JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a report of a dumpster fire on Saturday, Aug. 8, according to a JFD incident report.
The department was dispatched at 2:02 a.m. to 113 1st Ave. S. Three units and 16 firefighters responded and extinguished the fire, which was in the material in a recycling dumpster, said Fire Chief Jim Reuther.
ADVERTISEMENTThe department cleared the scene at 2:24 a.m.
The cause is undetermined, he said, and the damage was contained to the dumpster.
