Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., who cast the deciding vote that officially confirmed Todd Blanche as attorney general, said his decision was not black or white but a "gradation of gray." "If you're looking for a black or white decision here, you're not going to find it. Cassidy was asked if he is confident that Blanche will uphold the U.S. Constitution with respect to the upcoming elections. I cannot predict the future, and this is not a black or white decision. But I'm confident on that."
