A brave man took matters into his own hands after an iconic memorial spot at Malin Head was vandalised this week. The memorial in question, a cross located on Banba's Crown, is a tribute to a young French man who passed away over 30 years ago. He set off on Saturday for a climb, passing the cross at Banba's Crown as usual. But upon his return just an hour later, he discovered that the memorial cross had been removed and thrown over the cliff and down onto the rocks. With the cross now back in its rightful place, local Councillor Ali Farren has urged everyone to leave the cross as it is.
