Clonmany's David Fielding was the winner of this weekend's Donegal Ultra 555 Cycle Challenge. He completed the gruelling 555km challenge in a time of 20 hours, 1 minute and 53 seconds, winning at his first attempt. The first woman to finish was Cranford's Paula Hegarty, who finished the 222km challenge in a time of 9:34.00. "This was the eleventh year of the Donegal Ultra 555 Cycle Challenge and it was a really enjoyable event," he said. "I extend a big thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers who played a huge part in the success of this year’s Donegal Ultra 555 Cycle Challenge," he added.
