As global trade becomes more regulated, testing, inspection, certification and accreditation increasingly determine market access.
For manufacturers, particularly smaller companies entering new markets, testing, audits and certification can add cost and time before a shipment generates revenue.
In international trade, that credibility can determine whether a test result travels with the product — or has to be repeated.
Accreditation strengthens confidence in technical competence, but does not necessarily remove sector-specific or destination-market requirements for additional testing or certification.
If those conditions develop, testing and certification could move from being an export cost to becoming part of Egypt’s export infrastructure — and eventually a traded service in its own right.
