Moments earlier on the penultimate lap, Gonzalez passed Aspar Team rider Daniel Hogado into Vale with a late lunge.
Gonzalez tried to recover but the damage from the bent exhaust against the rear wheel was bad enough that he slipped down the order to 14th.
“In the final laps, I felt really comfortable in the battles and tried to win,” said Gonzalez.
Ivan Ortola (MSi Racing Team) capitalised too, demoting Holgado another place at Village.
Holgado’s hopes of victory vanished out of Luffield when he bike snapped loose and forced him out of his seat, which gave Alex Escrig (Klint Racing Team) third place.
