(ABC 6 News) – Authorities said a house fire in Brownsdale caused major damage but no injuries were reported. According to the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, the Brownsdale Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance were called at about 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 9 to a home fire near South Mill Street in Brownsdale. Officials said the home was unoccupied when the fire started. The roof and second story had extensive damage, and a damage estimate was not available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
