Former Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado has defended his controversial 2023 free transfer to Inter, revealing that he intended to remain in Turin until the club broke its promise regarding a new contract.
He explained that after eight years at the Allianz Stadium, he was forced to seek employment elsewhere when the Bianconeri failed to honor an offered contract extension.
The winger insisted on making the move anyway, joining on an initial loan deal before the club made the agreement permanent at the end of the 2015–16 campaign.
Tensions between Juventus and Inter in the transfer market regularly spark intense debate among supporters, much like ongoing discussions surrounding Bremer’s contract dynamics.
However, Cuadrado insisted that his deep affection for the club remains intact, pointing to his five Scudetti titles and more than 300 appearances as historic milestones he will always cherish.
