Beneficiaries under the 2021 designation lost coverage when the Department of Homeland Security's termination took hold on Nov. 7, 2025, according to USCIS's Venezuela TPS guidance. Attorneys now say the government has a clearer path toward dissolving the district court order protecting the remaining group before their documents even expire. That win remains frozen by a Supreme Court stay issued in October 2025 while the government's appeal continues.
