ROME– A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash in South Rome. The Rome Police Department issued a traffic alert around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 7 after officers responded to Branham Avenue at Grover Street near Lovejoy Baptist Church. The initial alert described the wreck as a crash with injuries. The motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash. The Rome Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash.
