Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Immigration, KN Nandap, has successfully concluded a two-week capacity-building training for personnel of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Command, Abuja.
A statement by the Service spokesman, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, said it focused on strengthening operational efficiency, professionalism, ethical conduct and Service Delivery.
The capacity-building programme was introduced in response to the evolving demands of modern airport operations, increased passenger traffic, and the growing use of technology in border management.
It is designed to ensure that NIS personnel are adequately equipped to effectively address emerging operational challenges.
The Nigeria Immigration Service said it remains committed to continuously improving its airport operations through professional capacity development, innovation, accountability and adherence to global best practices, tailored towards effective Border Security and enhancing international travelers experience.
